Universal Audio, a leading manufacturer of professional audio recording hardware and software, invites all NAMM Show attendees and members of the press to experience the award-winning Audio Comparatorium, an old west, steampunk-inspired hang out where visitors are challenged to tell the difference between UAD plug-ins and the vintage analog hardware being emulated.

The Audio Comparatorium display — a tongue-in-cheek paen to fictional Universal Audio founder Reginald Longhorn Putnam III — received a “Sizzle Award” by Exhibitor Magazine in 2018. “It can be a liability to tell a brand story from a different perspective, but the amount of thought that went into this is astounding,” said one judge. “The approach was closer to something you’d be more likely to find at Disney than inside a trade show exhibit.”

Attendees will also be able to experience the personal UAD recording setup and workflow from top artists like LCD Soundsystem, Tycho, Buddy Miller, Lyle Workman, and more in the Musicians Recording Lounge. Each unique hands-on recording space will provide an inspiring inside look into the creative methods of top-tier artists.

In addition, Universal Audio will be hosting Daily Giveaways at 3:30pm, where showgoers will have a chance to win an Apollo Twin and other coveted UA swag (must be present to win).

Universal Audio will also be bringing the NAMM 2019 experience directly to viewers at home, via their online livestream. Even if they’re not at the show, enthusiasts will be able to chat with UA reps, watch live demos with Grammy-nominated artists, and enter each day to win UA swag, an Apollo Twin interface, and more at www.uaudio.com/namm.
